Domain Names
What
is a Domain Name?
The domain name system (DNS) is the way
that Internet domain names are located and translated
into Internet Protocol addresses. A domain name

for an Internet address. Whenever you type a
domain name into a browser it is first translated
into an IP address which the browser can then
use to access the correct webserver.
Example
domain names are www.yourbusiness.com, www.directsubmit.co.uk
and www.findasite.org.uk.
